FELIZ CINCO DE MAYO!
Graduation is done!!
I know it has kind of taken me awhile to write this post but it has been a CRAZY past couple weeks.
I officially graduated Brigham Young University on Thursday/Friday April 23/34 2009!! It was wonderful! We first had Commencement on Thursday where President Uchtdorf and Elder Nelson. They were great speakers and it was kind of nerve wracking doing the "processional" thing and walking by them. Scary! I had to do the typical graduation and feel like an idiot while my parentals and family were trying to find me in the MASS of graduates. The texting conversation is definitely a keeper. :) So then they pronounced everyone an official graduate. But of course you have to go through Convocation to actually be considered a graduate I guess.
Convocation was on Friday and was just wonderful. I wore my new graduation outfit and walked across the stage (WITHOUT TRIPPING!!) and received my diploma case. They won't send you the diploma until a few weeks later. Then we did the pictures outside and all that jazz. Lissa came up with Andrew to take some family pics for me and it was so nice of her! And they turned out great!! Thanks Lissa!

After graduation was just fun after fun. :) Got to spend some time with my aunt, uncle, cousin, grandma and so forth. Always fun to get the family together. We had some amazing WIZARD tournaments. Great game.
Sunday morning my parents and Chris flew back and Cory and started our long trek home. And let me tell you, it was VERY entertaining to pack up all my stuff the day before. I had SO MUCH STUFF! By the end I was just tossing stuff away and cramming stuff into my car where there were any spaces. Dad had some idea what he wanted to do with some plastic wrap stuff from Home Depot and then these ratcheting things. I don't know but it looked pretty funny.
After our eventful drive. I had one day to unpack everything and then my birthday. :) And then my first day of work! My work schedule has been pretty normal. I work from about 10:30 to about 7:00. So not as bad as the Bookstore hours! Well until the weekends, and then I bite the bullet and work 11:00 to 8:00. But closing at Molbak's is SOO much easier than closing the Bookstore. People actually leave on time! It is simply wonderful. Oh and I don't have to wait until all the registers are in, I can just leave once I start getting all the customers out of the area. WONDERFUL!
So my day at work consists of helping customers, re-stocking plants, and answering a lot of questions I have no idea what the answers are. Even my horticultural classes didn't prep me very well. And the fact that all my classes were in Utah and there are VERY different from the plants here in Washington. But I am learning everyday! It is great to work with everyone at Molbak's, they are so nice! And of course I get to work with plants which is great!! I always find a new plant I want each day but I don't have any room at home to plant them! I really want to start a tomato plant in my backyard but I would have to put it in a pot because we have like NO place to plant it! Thank you Dad and his entire backyard a sport court idea. :)
In a nutshell, that is my life so far. I got to work, come home and then just chillax with the family until the next day of work comes along. :) It is nice to have a reliable schedule and a full-time job. :) Let's just hope it is longer than seasonal! Gotta love Molbak's! :)
I OFFICIALLY HAVE A JOB!!!
I am ecstatic!! I was hired to work at Molbak's in Woodinville! I will be starting a few days after I get back to Washington. I will be working in the Annuals and Perennials area and I am going to learn so much!
I also got my graduation outfit today! It is great. I like to put in the "sassy" category. :) I am hoping it will pass my sister's test of approval. I think it is funny that I found the shoes and then the rest of my outfit followed. :) I will put up pictures sometime after graduation.
Hello all!!
The time is getting short... I officially have 21 days in Provo left! Ahhhh! Craziness!! Woo hoo!! I have started packing up my room and came to realization that I will have to toss a lot more stuff than I anticipated. Hopefully it will work out... we will see. Luckily I have my expert packer of the car in the family. Thanks mother! So yes, the moving process is coming along just fine.
I applied for my first job this past week! Molbaks in Woodinville is hiring! So we will see what happens. I really really just want to have something stable set up for when I get home. :) I would LOVE to work there, it is my mother's favorite nursery!
Wish me luck! Peace... :)
So I have to say I have kept my little blog to myself lately but I have been getting very distressed exclamations from friends for not sharing my blog with them. Sorry to all! :) I have posted a link to my blog on Facebook and we shall see what kind of responses that gets.
I had a little chat today with friends and I discussed the whole blog thing associated with newly married people. It is quite the Utah thing to have newly married people to start blogs and always have their address with their names combined. Oh fun. :) That is one reason why I have been a little hesitant on taking my wonderful blog public. But I have decided that you know what, it really doesn't matter and it will be one more way to keep in touch with my long distance relationships. We shall see how things go with that and all.
So welcome all to my wonderful blog. I know it isn't much, but it is mine. :)

So life has been quite uneventful. Basically just school, work and then homework. Last week I went to the Draper Temple Open House and it was amazing! I have never been able to go to an open house because all the temples at home were dedicated before my time. :) It was a really great experience! Just walking through all the different rooms and seeing the beautiful woodwork, paintings, and furniture. Then finally going into the sealing room and looking in the mirrors, just completed the entire experience. But of course we had to finish the afternoon off with some Chipotle for lunch. :)
Well it has been quite awhile since my last post! It has been kind of hectic with school and work and such. It is kind of weird to think that I will be leaving Provo in 3 months! I have mixed feelings because I am dying to go home but at the same time there are still things that I want to do here! I will just have to get everything in while I am still here.
Classes are going just fine. I have some hard classes but they will still be worthwhile. Work is interesting this semester because I am the closing shift. It is almost completely dead and nothing to do. I am part of the closing crew and I have to stay there until everyone has their stuff turned in for the night. Those first two weeks of school were not very much fun. Staying until 9 o'clock is not my idea of how to spend my first week of school. Overall it is nice to get a lot of stuff done and trying to find more things to do.
The social scene is better this semester! My roomie and I made a goal to be more social, which would be basically going to an activity compared to last semester. We have been pretty good I guess because she now has a boyfriend! I swear I am cursed with finding roommates boyfriend, fiancees, and husbands. :) It is my lot in life. Good thing I am moving home and I don't have to worry about finding another roommate!
I am missing my brother dreadfully. It is crazy to think that he has been out for over 10 months!! I seriously can't believe it! It is coming up to the year mark and then I heard it just flies by. It will be wonderful to have him home with us. :) I love him.
Since I posted this on Facebook, I thought I would do it on here just for record. :)
25 Random Things About Me...

16. I used to drive a PT Cruiser and it was freaking amazing. When my dad first got it they used to have a PT wave that everyone would give each other in their PT's. :) I still used to get the wave.
17. People don't believe me when I tell them that my old high school now has about 50% Asian and the rest white and some other nationalities. Seriously, look it up.
18. I have this weird obsession with Dave Matthew's Band. It is one of my life goals to see him in concert. And it would be a million times better to see him at the Gorge. :)
19. One of my very first concerts was at the Evergreen State Fair and we saw O-Town. And the best part is I think it was free. :)
20. I have quite a large collection of Beanie Babies in my closet at home.

25. I have a two-page list of books that I want to read in my lifetime. And it just keeps on getting longer and longer. :)
Well as you can see, things are going just fine here in Provo. I am excited to be graduating and moving on with my life. :) I am loving life. :) So long and farewell until next time.
Merry Christmas!
We got a Christmas Tree!! Isn't it beautiful! And we put it up all by ourselves! It was a very fun time! We bought the tree and "trimmings" and then decorated it and watched White Christmas! What a wonderful night. It was superb. :)
Other news, I will be graduating in April! I have decided that I really, really don't want to stay in Provo for another year. I need to move on and start new somewhere else. I feel very good about this and I am excited to do something exciting! It will be great to be back home also. :) I love home :)
And the countdown is on for going home! Officially it will be 11 days tomorrow! But before that I will need to finish all assignments, quizzes, exams, and papers. Oh heavens, I am really quite ready to be done with this semester.
It has been a tumultuous semester and I am glad to be done with it. Well almost done with it. Close enough. We will see how this next semester is going to go. I am taking Advance Cooking, Bidding and Estimating, Landscape Graphics, Soil Science, and Marital Relationships. :) I have to say I am quite excited to take these classes! Now I just have to get ready for another semester. Oh heavens, at least it is my last! :)
Merry Christmas to all!! :)
Happy Thanksgiving!
I was quite sad to not go home for Thanksgiving but I got the best thing to it. I got to spend time with the McD family. :) I love them. They are basically the most amazing family ever. Well beside my family of course! I got to see my best friend since birth and it was great. And you think I am joking, oh no, Heath and I have been friends since the womb. Out mother's would go walking together while they were pregnant with us. Then we were born about 3 weeks apart. :) Anyway, it was splendid to spend time with the McD family.
I heard that my family had a "relaxing" Thanksgiving also. :) Just kidding. I am sorry mother dear for the stress of making an entire Thanksgiving dinner all on your own basically. I wish I was there to help! But some great news was announced that day! My cousin Nichoel is engaged! I am so happy for her! She is an amazing person and deserves quite an amazing guy. :) It is always great to catch up on the interesting things happening in the Holden clan at family functions. :)
And finally, school is almost over! About 3 more weeks and then I am done!! Thank heavens! It has been a touch semester. This break I have been basically doing assignments! It makes me quite angry that professors give you homework due before the break and then the Monday and Tuesday after. I don't think that is very kind of them. :) I will just be very glad when all of it is over. I will miss some of my classes but then again, I won't miss the stress of them. School is almost over!
Love you all... wish me luck on my talk on Sunday!
My mother dear noticed today that I have not written on my blog in awhile. Quite disappointing.
School is going just fine. I am more than halfway through the semester and coming up to the Thanksgiving break! It will be very nice for a break. Even though for some reason they still like to pile on the work! Craziness!
The countdown is 36 days until I get to go home! I am so incredibly excited because I have not been home since June! It has been too long! Hanging out with family, having "sister time" and catching up with old friends. :) It will be a very weird feeling not having Craiggy there. We will miss him terribly. It is a great feeling to think that he is serving and having amazing experiences.
Here is my top ten favorite things about going home (not in order):
1. Seeing my family finally, after so long!
2. Going to the Botanical Gardens with all the lights! :)
3. Watching movies with the family.
4. Having dinner/lunch with friends from home!
5. Christmas Eve feast!
6. New Year's Day Football watching party
7. Shopping with the sister (my fashionista)
8. Wrapping my mother's presents she didn't get to (using my wrapping skills)
9. Taking down the Christmas tree. :( (Sad but I replace it with the putting up the Christmas tree)
10. Talking to Elder Holden! Yay!!!
Well I hope that everyone has a wonderful day! And to end with a quote that I saw today:
"Keep smiling because you never know who is falling in love with it"

Halloween!! I am really just putting this dazzling picture up of my roommate and I for my mother's benefit. :) Here you go mom! For some odd reason she thinks I need to be more social. I mean seriously having 17 credits and working 20 hours a week isn't enough. :) I am just kidding mother dear.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween and did something fun and spontaneous! Love you all!
